Dickies commercial
I'm psyched to announce that my comics and plumbing business are the subject of a new commercial for Dickies work clothing! CLICK HERE to view it!
3rd Annual City Pages Comix Issue
If you missed the print version of this year's City Pages Comix Issue, you can still see the work online. I appeared in this year's issue along with fourteen other local cartoonists.....
Psy-Op Wars
I completed my first 24 hour comic book and the results were mixed. Some of the art turned out pretty good and some of it was truly terrible. It is too difficult to move your hand much less care anymore when you have been drawing for 17 hours straight. I printed 12 copies and sold them at a holiday art show....I think I will probably NOT print many more copies but will instead post some of the art here soon.
Walkabout Guilt Trip
Sales count = 72. C'mon people, time to pony up the dough for Walkabout #1. You still have the opportunity to purchase your own, machine printed issue that arrives to you sealed in a shiny poly bag. Remeber when your band played its first show and a third of the crowd was me? Or when you hung your first art piece at the former crackhouse turned hipster dance hall? Who was it who showed up to the opening even though YOU didn't show up? Yeah, you remember. Time to say:"YES! I WANT MY ISSUE OF WALKABOUT#1".
"Big Funny" at Altered Esthetics
I know it has been months since this event, but I want to extend continued thanks to everyone who came out and supported the "Big Funny" show at Altered Esthetics. It was an AWESOME event -- really, it blew me away and was easily the coolest art event I've ever been a part of. THANK YOU AE! Altered Esthetics will be having a comics event for one month every year now (ding!). Next year will be Lutefisk Sushi vol. D (aka "LSD"). More info will be available later, but we do know that local comics kingpin, DANNO KLONOWSKI is going to be the featured artist. I recently relocated the toilet in his house and so got a glimpse of his basement studio. I snuck a peek at some of Danno's secret art. It was scary (not really).
