Erik Nelson received a BFA in English from Boston College in 1997. In the 1990s and early 2000s, he wrote hundreds of articles appearing in publications like Entrepreneur, Teen Beat and M-Business Magazines. He studied fine art at The Susan Miller Gallery and School of Fine Art in San Francisco and was tutored by impressionist painter Daniel Bayless. He is a member of the International Cartoonist Conspiracy, local 612. Erik currently writes, designs and draws comics, creates illustrations and makes fine art. His past and present clients include Williamson Dickies, Bionik Music Productions, City Pages, Hostelling International, Altered Esthetics and The Parks and Trails Council of Minnesota. His comics have recently appeared in "The Big Funny," and "Just Add Ink: A Comic Cookbook." He lives in Minneapolis and is married to artist Cassandra Monson (at left). They have a young son, Oscar.
